Offering shelter, sanctuary and support

The Bristol Methodist Centre seeks to be a Christian community where people feel welcome and safe, sustained in their daily lives and nurtured in growing and changing. It has been offering shelter, sanctuary and support to the homeless, vulnerable and excluded from its previous location of Midland Road for almost 30 years and now continue to serve this community from our new location on Lincoln Street in Lawrence Hill.

We are a worshipping community and our Christian belief underpins what we do. People of all or no faith are welcome at the centre but they must respect our values. Prayer is always available and there is a weekly worship service on a Wednesday morning.

The Centre is run by six members of staff as well as many volunteers.  We are open four days a week providing care, guidance and support for the homeless and vulnerable within Bristol.

After being away for several years and experiencing hard times, I knew that if I could just get back to the Methodist Centre then everything would be O.K.

Without them, I would stink. I would be eating food off the floor, and I would stink!
