Offering shelter, sanctuary and support
The Bristol Methodist Centre seeks to be a Christian community where people feel welcome and safe, sustained in their daily lives and nurtured in growing and changing. It has been offering shelter, sanctuary and support to the homeless, vulnerable and excluded from its Midland Road location for almost 30 years.
We are a worshipping community and our Christian belief underpins what we do. People of all or no faith are welcome at the centre but they must respect our values. Prayer is always available and there is a weekly worship service on a Wednesday morning.
The Centre is run by four members of staff as well as many volunteers in both the shop and the Centre. It is open 5 days a week.

"After being away for several years and experiencing hard times, I knew that if I could just get back to the Methodist Centre then everything would be ok."
